Raywood Communications Expands North American Operations

Locates the International Sales & North American Headquarters in Bellevue, Washington.

Melbourne, Australia and Seattle, Washington, September 19, 2002

Raywood Communications, one of the world's leading providers of advanced Global Positioning, Computer Dispatch and In-Vehicle Security Systems for the Taxi, Courier and Limousine industries, has expanded their North American operation and selects Bellevue, Washington as its International Sales and North American headquarters.

Raywood Communications, the dominant player in its market overseas, has recently hired additional staff in North America to meet market demands for its products. Owning over 80% of the market in Australia and New Zealand, a significant number of systems in the UK and Ireland and large installations in Italy and Dubai, Raywood is leveraging its International reputation to expand its operation in North America.

Bellevue-based Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing, Doug Anderson, states: "The North American market is a significant strategic market for the company." He went on to say: "over the past six to eight months, Raywood has been able to close about 75% of all new deals, in our industry worldwide." North America is not new territory for Raywood Communications. Steve Watt, CEO is very happy with the success to date. He states: "During the past twelve months, we were able to close two new customers in North America. Both are owned by a parent company that had been purchasing another North American vendor's system. Their decision to move to Raywood is very significant."

PJ Haney, with over 25 years of high technology systems sales management experience was recently appointed Director of North American Operations. According to Mr. Haney, "It is wonderful to join the industry leader, a company that has a worldwide reputation for being focused on meeting customer needs and providing world-class support." In addition, the company has hired Gary Wilkinson as Director of Customer Services, Bruce Trumbull as the West Coast Sales Manager and Jon Leutenegger in the capacity of Managing In-Vehicle Security Systems Distribution.

In North America, Raywood also maintains an office in Houston, Texas and has opened up an operation in the Miami area.
