Selects Integrated Raywood Communications Computerised Dispatch
/Siemens VDO Dayton Navigation System for 400 Cab Fleet

2002 - Raywood Communications, one of the world's leading providers

has announced that the 400 fleet taxi company, T.O.A Taxis of Birmingham,
UK has selected the integrated Raywood Communications/Siemens VDO
Dayton computerised dispatch and navigation system.
Raywood Communications, the dominant player in its market around
the world, and Siemens VDO Automotive, the makers of the leading
in-vehicle navigation system called VDO Dayton were selected by
T.O.A Taxis of Birmingham. Paul Lockyer, Chairman of T.O.A indicated
that they went through a very deliberate process to evaluate the
various options and ultimately selected the Raywood/Siemens solution.
According to Mr. Lockyer "We did our homework, looked at
all the vendors, talked to their respective customers and it was
a clear choice
.The Raywood/Siemens VDO integrated system is
the best on the market." He went on, "we are very
impressed with what this new system will do for our customers and
drivers."
The decision to select Raywood Communications is further evidence
of the market acceptance of the Raywood computerized dispatching
