Mobile Digital Video Systems

The MDV system is a complete mobile video management solution engineered to perform in demanding environments within the Public Safety Sector.

Mobile Digital Video System

The fully-integrated MDV system is easy-to-use, secure, and its universal architecture makes it compatible with comparable mobile computer systems. The system includes a Mobile Digital Video Recorder, front and rear compact video cameras, a wireless microphone and touch-screen enabled software.

In-car video systems provide a valuable resource to promote the safety of law enforcement officers during contact with the public. According to the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) study of agencies deploying in-car video systems.

Compact Video Camera(s)

The video camera is capable of capturing high quality images at up to 30 frames per second. The camera also features 10x optical power zoom, 4x digital zoom, auto focus, automatic white balance, high sensitivity in low-light conditions and a software interface for camera control. The optional rear facing, IR color, wide angle camera captures both audio and video of rear seat passengers in low lighting conditions (zero lux).

Wireless Microphone System

The body-worn microphone has a maximum range of 1000 feet and can operate up to 8 hours continuously on a single charge. The 2.4 GHz transceiver operates on one of forty secure channels minimizing interference with other wireless devices.

Mobile Video Recorder (MDVR)

The ruggedized Mobile Video Recorder encodes the incoming audio and video signals utilizing MPEG-4 or H.264 compression. Eight (8) alarm inputs allow for trigger-based recording and since all of the video encoding is handled by the MDVR, fewer resources are taken from your mobile computer system.

Your Mobile Computer System

MDV system has been designed to work with Data9ll’s M6 or comparable mobile computer system. The mobile computer displays the MobileVid files, which are stored temporarily on the MDVR’s internal Flash Drive. Uploading those files to the VidNet management system’s server is accomplished either via wireless transfer or Flash Card.
